Book of photographs for sale, As Is Was….Chiswick House Grounds, 1998 – 2007

The book by the Artist , ' As Is Was ', publ. 2010 in a limited edition of 75 , that shows photographs of Chiswick House and Grounds over a 10 year period. Copies can be ordered through Chiswick House Friends and cost £75.00. Please contact shop@chfriends.org.uk or bsjmartin@btinternet.com for any further enquiries.

The Artist has work in numerous Public and Private Collections including: The Tate Galley ; Victoria and Albert Museum; Government Art Collection; English Heritage; Henry Moore Foundation; British Council; Watts Museum and many more.

Hugh Bredin. Artist

Hugh Bredin is a local artist who has very generously allowed us to use his watercolours for our Christmas Cards. Last year we sold all 2000 of his cards. All the profits went to support the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust's projects.

This year we have two new paintings from Hugh that are now on sale.

Mary Fedden RA

Mary Fedden was born in Bristol and studied at Slade School of Fine Art, as a scholar, 1932-6. She lives locally and for many years has generously allowed The Friends to use her images for Christmas Cards, and this year is no exception with the additional permission from the Portland Gallery.

Mary Fedden was elected RA in 1992. She is noted for her domestic, modest-sized still lifes, rich in colour and with an immaculate pattern element. Her work is in the collections of HM The Queen, the Chantrey Bequest for Tate Gallery and the Contemporary Art Society.

All proceeds of the items sold in the shop go towards supporting our projects for the House and Gardens.
